Issues investigated

The survey can investigate recurring internal damp patches, roof leaks, defective rainwater goods, penetrating damp, condensation-related moisture, moisture associated with external ground levels and plumbing-related leakage where relevant.

Assessment of the building

The cause of moisture is assessed in the context of the building as a whole rather than relying solely on damp-meter readings. Where relevant, the survey considers external construction, roof defects, rainwater goods, ground levels, wall construction, ventilation, plumbing, previous repairs, moisture readings, environmental conditions and visible finishes.
